Technology
Measuring and telling impact takes good technology. Here you see what we build with. The technology serves the work: what counts is what you learn and show with it.
Data and dashboards
Power BI
We build dashboards in Power BI on your own data. So you see your impact next to your other figures.
We used it for Dopper, StoryConnect, Emma and the OBA. For Dopper we built an impact dashboard on their impact framework.
Services, forms and examples
Microsoft Fabric
We bring data from separate sources together in Microsoft Fabric. Then your impact figures sit in one place. Microsoft Fabric is not the same as Fabrik, our own platform.
We used it for Dopper, StoryConnect, Emma and the OBA.
Services, forms and examples
Tableau and Salesforce Einstein
If your organisation works in Salesforce, we build your impact dashboards in Tableau. Einstein, the AI in Salesforce, helps spot patterns in that data.
We used it for StoryConnect.
Services, forms and examples
Service: Implementation & delivery, Monitoring and evaluation
Makes: Impact dashboard
Google Data Studio (Looker Studio)
We build dashboards in Looker Studio, the new name of Google Data Studio. It is free and works well with Google Sheets and forms.
We used it for Impact Hub Amsterdam, Impact Hub Global, Dopper, StoryConnect and the Corona werkgeluk monitor.
Services, forms and examples
Ecochain (life cycle assessment)
We make life cycle assessments with Ecochain software. So you see the environmental impact of a product, from raw material to waste.
We did this for BYBORRE, Willicroft and Dopper.
Services, forms and examples
Service: Monitoring and evaluation, Evaluations
Makes: Life cycle assessment (LCA)
Data platforms
We set up an online data environment: a database, the links into it and a dashboard on top. So you collect once and use it often.
Services, forms and examples
Workplace and web
LimeSurvey and Typeform
We set up surveys people like to fill in, and connect them to your dashboard. LimeSurvey when you want to keep data in your own hands, Typeform when it mostly has to feel easy.
We used LimeSurvey for StoryConnect and Typeform for Impact Hub Amsterdam.
Services, forms and examples
Google Workspace
We set up forms, sheets and shared folders, so your team collects data where it already works.
We work in it ourselves every day.
Services, forms and examples
Service: Teams and workflows, Implementation & delivery
WordPress
We put your impact story on your own WordPress site, with pages you can keep up to date yourself.
Services, forms and examples
Service: Impact stories & reports, Implementation & delivery
Makes: Impact story
Apps and platforms
App development
We build web apps in React and TypeScript, with a database of their own. From first prototype to a platform that runs every day.
We build Fabrik, our own platform, and this site ourselves.
Services, forms and examples
AI and knowledge models
AI harness engineering
We let AI agents work within fixed rules: tests, checks, sources and a person who has the final say.
This site and Fabrik are kept up this way.
Services, forms and examples
Language models with evidence
A language model reads your sources and pulls out figures and claims. We keep only what a literal quote in the source backs up.
Services, forms and examples
Small language models (SLM)
A small language model runs on your own server and learns your own terms. Your data then stays inside.
In Fabrik we make the training data for such models.
Services, forms and examples
Ontology development
We record terms and how they relate in open standards such as RDF and SKOS. Then data from different sources speaks the same language.
Fabrik works with the same knowledge models.
